Public land survey plat maps, 1832-1866.

Original plat maps created during the federal General Land Survey of the State of Wisconsin during the mid-1800's. These maps are a cartographic presentation of the information contained in the survey field notes. Each map covers one township. Records are used by surveyors in retracing original property boundaries and by researchers in pre-settlement landscape studies.
